The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has postponed its Contractors and Partners Chief Executive Officers (CEO) Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Conference scheduled for Oct. 21 and 22 in Abuja, following the confirmation of an Ebola case in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The company announced the postponement in a statement on Wednesday, describing it as a precautionary measure.

NNPC Ltd. said the health, safety and wellbeing of all participants remained its priority.

It expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the postponement and thanked its partners, contractors, speakers and participants for their understanding.

The company said a new date for the conference would be announced in due course.
