Ethiopian Airlines Celebrates 50 Years Adiss Ababa to Kigali route

AFRICA – Ethiopian Airlines, marked 50 years anniversary of its inaugural flight to Kigali, Rwanda and has played a pivotal role in strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Ethiopia and Rwanda, while serving as a vital link connecting the two nations and beyond.

 

The Group Chief Executive Officer, Mesfin Tasew, on Monday said that it was a milestone and a reaffirmation of the airlines commitment to serving Africa.

 

Ethiopian Airlines Marking 50 years anniversary of connecting Addis Ababa to Kigali, Rwanda.

 

“We are excited to reach such a milestone. Over 50 years of service to Kigali, we have expanded both our passenger and cargo operations, with increased frequencies for the benefit of our customers.

 

“This marks another demonstration of Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to serving the people of Africa.”

 

Ethiopian Airlines operates 21 weekly passenger flights and three dedicated cargo services to Kigali, offering seamless connections to its extensive global network of over 145 destinations across five continents.

 

With convenient connections at its hub in Addis Ababa, the airline’s flights to and from Kigali provide travelers with efficient options to reach destinations worldwide.

 

As the largest network operator in Africa, Ethiopian Airlines plays a vital role in connecting the diverse nations of Africa with each other and the rest of the world.

 

The Airlines’ expanding network is further narrowing connection gaps between Africa and major economic cities. Ethiopian Airlines’ flights further foster intra-African trade and tourism and facilitates crucial diplomatic and cultural exchange.
